Children: Try to put a name on what you feel such as angry, hurt, scared, sad, left out, unloved, lonely. Then figure out how you can change this feeling.An attitude of forgiveness, brings peace to the injured.

Parents: Time Banking is setting aside 15- 20 minutes per week to play with your child. This is the most important appointment you have all week and this is not to be broken because you want your child to feel special and loved and valued. Let the child be in control and direct the play.

Obviously you are responsible to keep the child safe.
1. Do not give commands
2. Do not remove it even if your child has had a bad day.
3. Do not ask intrussive questions
4. You schedule it

Adolescent: Say "No" and keep your friends
1. Ask questio;ns to get a clear picture of the suggested activity
2. Name trouble (that is shop lifting)
3. State the consequences (I'll be in trouble with my parents and
the law.)
4. Suggest an alternative activity


Move it, sell it, and leave the door open. (I am going to _____________, if you change your mind, I would love to have you join me. Turn around and walk away and do the suggested activity.)
